Promoting the Health
of People Living with HIV:
It's a New Day

Today, people living with HIV are living longer and are able to achieve viral suppression. This remarkable progress in HIV treatment has been accompanied by new challenges in helping people with HIV to live healthy and prevent age-related comorbid conditions as they age. Successfully creating interventions to help people with HIV will require us to: (1) partner directly with people living with HIV to tailor our approach, (2) to dispel enduring myths and misconceptions about HIV and the people who have it, and (3) to provide them with strategies to address new health challenges.
